| NKC PARENT FIRST MEETING OF NEW SEASON (Oct) SING FOR DR. KING (Nov - Jan) NKC and other interested children rehearse and perform for an annual city-wide MLK Tribute sponsored by World Arts Foundation, Inc. ATTENDANCE TO THE DRESS REHEARSAL OF OREGON SYMPHONY'S " A GOSPEL CHRISTMAS" (Dec) NKC and Parent/Guardians attend the dress rehearsal of the Oregon Symphony's "A Gospel Christmas" with guest Conductor Dr. Charles Floyd and the NW Community Gospel Choir. SHOWTIME GOSPEL CLINIC & FREE CONCERT with a silent auction/raffle open to the public! (Feb - Apr) a focused period of rehearsals culminating in a concert. Showtime originated in 1991 and has evolved in to a powerful feature of the NKC ministry. This is much more than a fundraiser, it is an experience that help children grow, discover, share, and be inspired by the Word of God! This opportunity is open to other interested children. SPRING CHOIR TRIP (May) These trips foster an understanding of the different styles of gospel music and the way it impacts the lives of people in different places. SPRING MUSIC RECORDING (May) NKC visits Big Red Studio for annual recording session FUN IN THE SUN ( June - Aug) The summer session kicks off with vacation bible school followed by nine scheduled rehearsals over a 3-month period culminating in a performance at the Oregon State Fair! |
